The Mobile Library, also known as the Bookmobile, brings Detroit Public Library services to locations across Detroit and Highland Park.
Equipped with four public-use computers, free Wi-Fi, and a printer, the Mobile Library offers books for all ages in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Our Mobile Reference Librarian can issue and renew library cards, assist with selecting materials, and place holds for pickup on the Mobile Library or at any DPL branch.
Locations
During the school year, the Mobile Library primarily visits schools throughout Detroit and Highland Park. In the summer, it can be found across the city at destinations such as Eastern Market, the Riverfront, neighborhood parks, and community events.
