The Patent and Trademark Resource Center (PTRC) is a service supported by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Our knowledgeable staff will help answer your questions on patents, trademarks and copyright.

PTRC representatives are not lawyers nor employees of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and as such cannot give legal advice or assist with the filling out of patent and trademark applications.

Representatives can assist interested customers with the below tasks:

• Assist the public in the efficient use of patent and trademark information resources.
• Provide free access to patent and trademark resources provided by the USPTO including USPTO patent and trademarks databases.
• Provide resources and information programming to assist inventors throughout their intellectual property journey.
