Native American Heritage Month
Celebrate Native American Heritage Month at the Elmwood Park Detroit Public Library from 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm with a creative and cultural story time and bracelet-making activity for ages 8–13! Participants will learn how to weave their own colorful bracelet using string and a simple cardboard loom, inspired by traditional Native American craftsmanship. In many Native American cultures, bracelet and bead weaving is more than decoration—it’s a form of storytelling, with each color and pattern symbolizing meaningful connections to nature, family, and community. Join us for an afternoon of stories, creativity, and culture!
