Narcan Training

Narcan Training

Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is a nasal spray used to reverse opioid overdoses. During this training session, you will learn how to safely administer Narcan to someone experiencing an overdose. The training also covers:

  • The magnitude of the opioid crisis and its impact on our community
  • How to recognize the signs of an overdose
  • How to respond to an overdose, including performing CPR
  • Aftercare considerations for overdose survivors
  • How to use fentanyl test strips

At the end of the training, all participants receive an Overdose Rescue Kit containing Narcan—an easy-to-use nasal spray that reverses opioid overdoses. Fentanyl test strips will also be available to anyone who wants them.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to program guidelines, training sessions are intended for individuals 18 and older—this includes staff, parents, or other adult community members. No children will be allowed.
