Prediabetes, Diabetes, and Diet
Type 2 Diabetes is characterized by the body's difficulty controlling blood glucose/sugar levels. Cellular defects in glucose metabolism often emerge long before a diagnosis of Type 2 Diabetes as a condition called prediabetes, which affects 1 in 3 Americans.
Join Meghan Pendleton, MS, Registered Dietitian to gain a better understanding of the disease process, and how nutrition interventions may help slow and prevent progression from prediabetes to Type 2 Diabetes. You'll also have a Q+A opportunity with the Dietitian at the end of the class.
Registration preferred, walk-ins welcome. Free parking is available for event attendees in the DPL staff lot from 5pm-8pm.
