Welcome to STEAM Club!

Join us each week for STEAM Club, where kids ages 6–12 can explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through fun games, creative crafts, and exciting hands-on experiments. Every session features new activities that spark curiosity, build skills, and encourage discovery!

Some Upcoming Spring STEAM Club Program Themes:

STEAM Club: Forestry

Thursday, March 12th from 2-3pm

Learn all about forests and the amazing role they play in our environment! Staff from the Department of Natural Resources will lead STEAM program where kids will discover how forests grow, why they’re important for wildlife, and how people help protect them. Get ready for fun activities and fascinating facts about the trees and forests around us!

STEAM Club: Eat Safe Fish

Thursday, March 26th from 2-3pm

Join the Department of Health and Human Services for Eat Safe Fish, a fun, picture-based program perfect for visual learners. Participants will learn about different Michigan fish, how to recognize key characteristics, and the safest ways to prepare them. Kids will also discover how water contamination can affect fish and the environment. We’ll finish with a fun “mix and match” game to test what everyone learned!

STEAM Club: Home Safety Escape Room

Thursday, April 9th from 2-3pm

Can you escape while learning how to stay safe at home? In this interactive Home Safety Escape Room, presented by the MiPDC Coalition for Poison Prevention, kids will solve puzzles and clues while learning important tips about poison prevention and household safety. Don’t miss out on this cool interactive experience that’s perfect for curious minds!

STEAM Club: Think Lab Brain Workshop

Thursday, April 16th from 2-3pm

Did you know your brain is awesome? Interesting facts about one of the most important parts of the body are explored through a presentation, trivia, and an opportunity to see and touch a real human brain specimen. Program is offered in partnership with the THINK Lab of Wayne State University.
