Join Us for an Important Conversation: Unintentional Harm: How Provider Implicit Bias Can Influence Clinical Communication and Related Outcomes

Your health. Your voice. Join us for a Community Conversation on Cancer led by Dr. Lauren Hamel where she will describe the science of implicit bias, how implicit bias can influence patient-provider communication, and ways to reduce the negative effects of implicit bias.

Karmanos Cancer Institute's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement (COE), in collaboration with the Detroit Public Library, invites you to our next event in our Community Conversation on Cancer series. This event will be held both in person at the Detroit Public Library (Main Branch) and virtually via Zoom on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
