How and Why We Explore Mars

How and Why We Explore Mars

Dr. Ostwald has recently joined the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at MSU. Her study focus is Martian igneus petrology. She studies our only current Earth-based Mars samples (meteorites) and data collected in-situ with Mars rovers.

She will tell us about the exploration currently being done on Mars, along with some hints on future exploration.

DPL is partnering with WSU's planetarium, and local astronomy enthusiasts, on these talks related to astronomy.

Zoom link will be sent to registrants before the program. We routinely initiate Zoom auto-transcription.

A recording will be posted on the Detroit Public Library YouTube channel after the program.
