Meet Dorothy Hamilton. Miss Dorothy is a pre-professional librarian—that just means she’s a student librarian currently attending San Jose State University where she is working on her MLIS degree in Public Librarianship. Miss Dorothy has been in the Children's and Teen Departments at Main Library since August 2018. She's also an animal lover! She has two dogs named Valentino and ZeldaMae. Miss Dorothy has volunteered at different animal shelters in the past—our library cat Woodward definitely approves!

While at home, Miss Dorothy has recently discovered the joy of reading graphic novels. She just finished “Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic” by Alison Bechdel. It is a coming of age story about a young women and her complicated relationship with her farther. Miss Dorothy is about to start reading “The Complete Persepolis” by Marjane Satrapi.
