Registration is now open for ProjectArt 2026! ProjectArt will be providing free weekly art classes to youth at five Detroit Public Library locations. Students are instructed by local resident artists and will explore a series of visual arts themes with multiple showcase opportunities. All materials provided. Classes run from late September 2026 through May 2027. Courses at Detroit Public Library locations include:
- Duffield Branch on Thursdays from 5pm - 6pm (Ages 4-12)
- Elmwood Park Branch on Saturdays* from 1:30pm - 2:30pm (Ages 8-12)
- Lincoln Branch on Saturdays* from 2pm - 3pm (Ages 13-18)
- Lincoln Branch on Mondays from 4:30pm - 5:30pm (Ages 4-12)
- Main Library on Tuesdays from 1pm - 2pm (Ages 4-12)
- Sherwood Forest Branch on Saturdays* from 11am - 12pm (Ages 4-8)
- Sherwood Forest Branch on Wednesdays from 4pm - 5pm (Ages 8-12)
*Saturday classes will move to Fridays for the last four weeks of May 2027 due to a library schedule change.
