The Sherwood Forest Branch Library, located at 7117 W. Seven Mile Road near Livernois, will reopen to the public on Monday, September 22, 2025. The branch was closed over the summer for maintenance.
The Sherwood Forest Branch hours are:
- Mondays: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Tuesdays: Noon – 8:00 pm
- Wednesday: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Thursdays: Noon – 8:00 pm
- Saturdays: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Updates to the facility include new exterior windows and repairs to the air conditioning system.
The Sherwood Forest Branch is a popular community meeting center and offers a wide range of resources to help improve the quality of life for area residents, including family and children’s programming, job readiness services, and access to computers and other technology.
Established in 1942, the Sherwood Forest Branch Library is named for the community in which it is located. The current facility opened on February 20, 1957.
