L'école Liberté (Freedom School) is hosting a Social Justice Summer Camp at the Main Library from Monday, August 3rd to Saturday, August 8th. The program is open to kids aged 11-14. All participants who complete the six-day program will earn $100.
Hosted by attorney Frances Silney-Bah, participants will learn about civil librerties, community building, media literacy, mutual aid, youth organizing, and more. Camp sessions will include free lunch and snacks, guest speakers, art activities, and community service with ASL interpretation available.
Camp hours (8/3 - 8/8):
- Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday: 10am - 4pm
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 1pm - 6pm
