In honor of Juneteenth, Audrey Allison joins us for a storytelling and music program, where she plays African drums, traditional percussion instruments, and the steel drum. The audience will get to try and play the instruments too!
Kam Komics Comic Workshop
Monday, June 23, 6:00-7:30 pm
Local comic book artist Kam Reynolds will share tips on character creation, action, and sequencing so you can create your own comic. Kool Ade Kam will also entertain with his sick beats and lyrics! For kids ages 7-18.
Exotic Zoo
Friday, June 27, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Come see Javon Stacks and some of his amazing animals. He brings the zoo to you through close encounters with 12 fascinating creatures from around the globe.
Peg + Cat Experience (Ages 3 - 5)
Wednesday, July 9, 2:00 – 3:00pm
Join Peg and her lovable sidekick Cat as they solve problems and explore the world of early math. This session by Detroit PBS Kids will feature Peg + Cat video screenings, engaging math activities, and storytime with related books.
Tree Keeper’s Kids

A story time focusing on the benefits of trees, urban forestry, and tree equity from The Greening of Detroit. For kids ages 7 and under.
Paint N Grow a Pot
Friday, July 11, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Young gardeners and artists are invited to decorate their own pot and learn about what it takes to grow a plant. For kids ages 6-12. Registration required.
Elsie Tie Dye
Monday, July 14, 6:00 – 7:30 pm
A visit from a mobile tie dye business that brings everything you need to create your tie dye masterpiece! Everyone will leave with their beautifully tie-dyed item to wash in 24 hours with detergent and washing instructions. For ages 6-12. Registration required.
Odd Squad Experience (Ages 5-8)

Step into the world of Odd Squad with Detroit PBS Kids! This hilarious and educational show helps kids build math skills while solving weird and wacky mysteries. We’ll bring Odd Squad to life with video clips, hands-on activities, and fun themed books.
How to Start Birding: A Story Time with The Detroit Bird Alliance
Wednesday, July 23, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Join Detroit Bird Alliance as we read “A Garden to Save the Birds,” an interactive presentation about local bird species using scientific specimens, and then learn how to use binoculars. For ages 7 and under.
Sustainable Crafting for Kids
Friday, July 25, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Kids will learn about sustainability by using their artistic talent and donated scraps and recycled materials to build a masterpiece. For kids ages 6-12.
Family Movie Night

For our family-friendly movie night while we watch Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” (2023). Snacks provided while supplies last.
Ice Cream Social
