Summer Reading 2026 at Chandler Park

Registration and Kick-off
Wednesday, June 24, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Pick up a registration packet and a free book to start off your summer of reading! For ages 5 – 15.   

Summer Reading: Lego Challenge
Wednesday, July 1, 2:00– 3:00 pm
We are building the ultimate dinosaur park with Legos and need your help building it! For ages 5 -15.   

Summer Reading: Unearth a Problem  
Wednesday, July 8, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Hosted by 826michigan, explore dinosaurs through fossils and photos, then dream up a fun escape plan just in case their dino friend turns out to be less than friendly! For ages 5 – 15.   

Summer Reading: Secrets of the Sphinx 
Wednesday, July 15, 2:00 – 3:00 pm 
Unearth the story of the Sphinx with Imagination Arts Academy. Learn about the mystery surrounding this ancient Egyptian landmark while sculpting your own Sphinx to take home. For ages 5 – 15.   

Summer Reading: Jewelry Making
Wednesday, July 22, 2:00 – 3:00 pm 
Uncover your jewelry-making talent with Stacey Payton.  All supplies will be provided to make a name bracelet.  For ages 5 – 15.   

Summer Reading: Bingo Day 
Wednesday, July 29, 2:00 – 3:00 pm
Bingo, prizes and snacks is the theme for the last Summer Reading program. For ages 5 -15.
